Maintenance Contract
A Major Refinery
Since 1983, we have been a leading scaffold contractor to a major refinery in Singapore. Our ability to rapidly deploy manpower, equipment and material sees us consistently meeting the needs of major players in the refinery sector.

Project
A Major Lubricant Plant Expansion Project, Singapore
In 2013, a multinational oil corporation embarked on a large-scale project to expand its Singapore facility to meet increasing manufacturing demands. KYC Scaffolding Pte Ltd was enlisted as the project’s main provider of scaffolding services.
We provided common user access and protection of existing services and facilities as part of the construction process of the expansion. Our team executed the full supply and transportation of material, erection, safety inspection and tagging, periodic inspection and final dismantle of load and non-load bearing access for the locations identified.
With lauded productivity, we completed the project within the timeline and accomplished a total of 160,000 manhours without injury. KYC Scaffolding was awarded ‘Best Contractor’ for this project by the main contracting group overseeing the contractor hires in June 2014.
Special Challenge
Flare Tip Replacement at a Major Chemical Complex, Singapore
We are known for our unprecedented approach in delivering challenging scaffold works that dramatically improve the efficiency and profitability of our clients.
A major chemical complex in Singapore required scaffolding for a flare tip refurbishment at an elevation of 110 metres. Many scaffolding companies could not perform such work, bereft of the right resources and technical expertise. Even using a crane to arrange scaffold materials needed at that elevation proved impossible, due to surrounding plant shutdown works and the unpredictable effects of weather and wind.
Under a time constraint, the refinery enlisted our expertise to execute the job. We developed a sturdy pulley system, and with our well-trained manpower, worked round-the-clock to manually bring up all necessary scaffold materials and erected the structure necessary for the replacement. The erection was successfully completed in four days without any incident or injury.
